Dane Roset

Dane Alexander Roset, 19, loving son and brother, passed away suddenly on January 18, 2019. Born in Little Rock to Bjorn and Kathryn Massey Roset, he worked as a heating and air technician and a volunteer firefighter. Dane was utterly dependable, always selfless and a hard worker. He was a first friend to many, a great partner and teammate, and made himself a big brother to the kids around him. He gave everyone a chance, no matter who they were or what they might have done. Dane was an avid outdoorsman. He loved animals, was a fish "whisperer," and worked as a lifeguard. He was an MMA and BJJ coach and instructor, an amateur MMA fighter and a champion BJJ fighter.

He is survived by his parents; brothers, Connor Roset (Sydney) of Conway, Jacob Roset, Kennet Roset and Ryan Roset, all of Little Rock; grandparents, Sally Massey of Little Rock, Rose Roset-Gran and Tore Gran, both of Norway; aunt, Pam Killebrew of Little Rock and cousins, Brian Killebrew and Mary Jacobsen (Jamey, Hannah and Emily); uncle, Viggo Roset of Norway and cousins, Julie Roset and Martin Roset; and a host of other family and friends.

Services will be held at Highland Valley United Methodist Church on Saturday, January 26, at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Rev. Jennie Williams. The family asks that you wear bright colors to celebrate Dane. His favorite color is purple.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the West Pulaski Fire Department, Station 2, 2810 Whispering Pines Rd., Little Rock, AR 72210.

Arrangements by Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct., (501)224-2200. Dane's online guestbook may be signed at www.littlerockfuneralhome.com.
