David Edward Cornell of Little Rock died Thursday, January 7, 2021. David was born to the late Cecil and Maudie Cornell on May 13, 1933.
David served in the Marine Reserve, Army and the Air Force Reserve during the Korean Conflict (War). He retired after forty-nine years of dedicated employment in the field of office equipment service as a technician and service manager for D.A. Sparks, Inc. and Copy Systems.
After retirement, he wrote western and mystery fiction novels, two of which were published in 2005. A third would have been published in 2009, but he canceled it due to a year long bout with colon cancer. He also spent many hours doing counted cross-stitch.
He is survived by daughters, Kathy Nesselrotte (Jim) and Karen Myler (Steve); grandsons, Justin Nesselrotte and Kaden Cornell Myler. David was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Cornell.
A visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 12, 2021, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m., in the chapel of Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
