Dessie Vodean Mahan, 94, of Little Rock, passed away with her family at her side on June 27, 2018. Born in Delaplaine, Arkansas to Prince Albert Young and Nora Selina Young, Dessie worked at a defense plant during World War II.
Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lowell Irving Mahan, eight siblings and her son-in-law, Mike Noe, and great-grandson, Dustin Hall, she is survived by her sons, Bobby Lowell Mahan (Brenda) of Batesville and David Dwight Mahan (Tricia) of Farmington; daughter, Dianna Noe of Little Rock; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday, July 7 at 10:00 a.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), officiated by Rev. Todd Bray. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Volman Cemetery in Bigelow. Visitation will precede the service, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
