Donna Brangan

The family of Donna Brangan of Sherwood, Arkansas is saddened to announce her passing on November 3, 2021 at the age of 79. She was peacefully surrounded by her family.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 60 years, Charles G. Brangan; children: Susan Crotts (David), Shirley Hammitt (Jeffrey), Sandra Anderson and Charles G. Brangan Jr. (Andrea); 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; sister, Linda Britner; as well as numerous relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by her brother, Rufus Nealey, sisters, Phyllis Sisk, Pasty Nealey and her parents: Rufus and Lillian Nealey.

Donna and Charles met at a cafeteria in Miami, Florida. Donna was a waitress and spilt gravy on Charles; the rest is history. Donna and Charles married and had four children. Donna loved her children dearly and went to extreme measures to protect them. Donna was a very talented seamstress and crafter. People often would hire her to make costumes and party gowns for them. She also loved the beach. She spent many hours combing the beach looking for beautiful shells for her husband, Charles, so he could turn them into works of art. Donna always made sure that Charles included a shell that each of the kids found.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at Premier Nursing Home and to Hospice for the outstanding care and compassion that they gave.

Visitation will be from 11:00AM-12:00PM Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Smith-Sherwood Funeral Home (7700 Hwy 107) with a memorial service following at 12:00PM.
