Elizabeth Ann Sherman, 80, of North Little Rock, passed away June 18, 2020.  She was born in Meridian, Mississippi on April 23, 1940 to Ralph and Ethel (Rutledge) Thomas.

She graduated from North Little Rock’s Old Main High School in 1958. Besides helping her husband in his businesses, she worked for Arkansas Electric Co-op for 22 years, and then worked at Hiner Oil until she retired to become a full time housewife.   She enjoyed going to drag racing with her husband and going to the movies.  She was a very devoted wife and daughter and loved her life and family, talking with her sisters every day.  In her later years, she enjoyed senior activities, bingo and organized lunches.

In addition to her parents, Elizabeth is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Jerry Pat Sherman; sister, Carolyn Treece; and step-daughter, Kathy Duncan.

Survived by two sons, Jerry Sherman (Johnnie), and Ronnie Sherman (Darlene), all of Jacksonville; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Martha Fulmer (David) of North Little Rock and Marilyn Bearden (Ted) of Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family that will miss her. She worked for Arkansas Electric Co-Op for 22 years and then worked for Hiner Oil Co. until she retired.

Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at the pavilion at Rest Hills Memorial Park.  State of AR COVID-19 directives: Face coverings required at all times.  Maintain social distancing. No hugs or handshakes please.
