Florine Hooper, 94, of Scott passed from this life on November 16, 2020. She was born on February 5, 1926 to the late Robert L. and Minnie P. Jarvis Fondren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Rev William Hooper. She was an ordained minister for 40 years and a dedicated Pastors wife. Her love for God was evident in her everyday life. After retirement, she was a member of First Pentecostal Church of North Little Rock, AR. Florine was most proud of her children and grandchildren. Her family was the utmost important thing in her life aside from her faith. She was a soft spoken, kindhearted lady who loved fiercely. Her spirit and presence provided comfort and joy to all who knew her.
She will be greatly missed by her children, Gwen Davis of Forrest City, Yvonne Ware (Ron) of Bigelow, Katherine Chism of Scott, Wanda Seaman of Benton and Bobby Hooper (Dena) of North Little Rock; grandchildren Ricky Price of North Little Rock, Paul Chism (Kristina Chism) of Cabot, Kim McAllister (Chuck) of Benton, Amanda Cerchiara of Orlando, FL, Tonya Riggs (Owen) of Forrest City, Bobby Hooper Jr. of Orlando, FL and Chris Seaman (Jess) of Perryville. She has 12 great grandchildren, Taylor Anderson, Hayle Price, Hannah Price, Alex Riggs, Emma Chism, Kolton Chism, Hunter Chism, Dominque Cerchiara, Simone Cerchiara, Dana Buck (Cody), Stephanie Seaman and Travis Seaman; 2 great-great grandchildren, Corbin Jack and Adalyn Buck and many nieces and nephews and longtime friends.
The family wants to thank all the nurses and staff and Arkansas Health Center (Pine Unit) for the care of our beloved mother and grandmother.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 20, 2020 at First Pentecostal Church in North Little Rock with Bishop Joel Holmes, and Pastor Nathan Holmes officiating. Interment will follow at Keo Cemetery in Keo. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church beginning at noon.
