Freddie Hall

Freddie Dean Hall, 68, of Sparkman, AR. went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 7, 2020. He was born on November 18, 1951 in Sparkman to I.V. and Erma Jean (Keith) Hall. Freddie joined Harmony Baptist Church at an early age under the leadership of Reverend F.O. Jones. He attended Sparkman Training school and then afterwards, graduated from Sparkman High School in 1970. He went to College at Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia and joined the ROTC Program during that time. Freddie was on the verge of completing his degree but after being told by his parents he needed to get a job to get that Baby Blue Torino he wanted to ride his high school Sweetheart around in, Freddie decided to enter the workforce, working as a Relief Sawyer at Henry-Jackson Lumber Co. In Manning Ar. Freddie went on to take a job with Anthony Timberland in Bearden, Ar. He eventually became Lead Supervisor of the company and held that role for over 40 years. He has been in a consulting role for the company for the past 3 years.  After a 5-year relationship with his sweetheart, Zonder Murdock, they joined hands in holy matrimony before God by the late Rev R.Z. Wright on December 21, 1973. To their Union, 2 children were born: LaTrisia Denise Hall, Hot Springs, Ar. and Freddie DeWayne Hall (Sarah), Fayetteville, Ar. Wayne and Sarah blessed Freddie with 2 grandchildren: Davian Dewayne and Dasia Denise Hall.

The Lord blessed Freddie with the talent of music; a musician who could play keys off anything. He started at an early age and his appreciation for the piano learned from his Grandmother, Bertha Hall. He played for various churches such as 1st Baptist Carthage and Harmony Baptist. Once he reached High School, he joined the Flames Band alongside the late James Hunter (Uncle Plug). As more of Freddie's brothers begin to join The Flames Band, the group decided to rename it The Hall Band. They played in major venues throughout the state. Some might even call then local celebrities.

Freddie loved his family and was the glue that held them tightly together. Also known as PawPaw, Poppa Doc, Billy Bob, Shemp, and last but not least, the Professor, Freddie loved everyone. He was always a giver and never a taker. Freddie was a problem solver and a peace maker; someone you can always depend on. He left his mark on everyone that came into his life due to his genuine and caring nature.

Freddie is Preceded in death by his afore-mentioned parents, brother; Eddie Joe Hall, and sister; Shelia Bivens.

Freddie is also survived by his loving five brothers; Ivory Hall (Recia), Camden, Ar., Joseph Hall(Roslind), David Hall(Mary), Gary Hall, all of Sparkman, Ar., Jeff Hall(Renee), Camden, Ar., and one sister; Seresa Hall, Bryant, Ar. and host of Special Nieces and Nephews whose lives he impacted.

Going home celebration will be held at 12 noon Monday, January 13, 2020 at Harmony Baptist Church in Sparkman, with Rev. Harvey Goodwin officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00- 8:00 p.m. Sunday, January 12, 2020 at Ruggles Wilcox Funeral Home.
