Freddy Dale Green, 84, of Russellville, Arkansas passed away August 30, 2020.  He was born October 16, 1935 to the late Fred Henry and Vivienne Floye (McClure) Green in Shawnee, Oklahoma raised in Asher, Oklahoma.  He lived in Russellville, Arkansas from 1970 to 2020.

Freddy loved the Lord and was a member of  Fifth & Greenwich Church of Christ in Russellville, Arkansas.   Freddy received degrees from East Central University in Ada, OK and Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK, and his doctorate from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville.  He was a member of the East Central University sports Hall of Fame for his baseball career while at ECU.  Freddy spent his career in the education field and retired in 1993 as a professor of Elementary Education at Arkansas Tech University. Freddy was an avid runner and walker, and his favorite place to do that was the Bona Dea trail in Russellville, Arkansas.

Preceding Freddy in death are his wife, Vicki; his parents, Vivienne and Fred Green; and his brother, Tim Green.

He is survived by his son, Fred Green; three grandchildren, Madison, Jake, and Payton; and longtime friend, Roberta Gifford; and many family members and friends who love Freddy and will miss him always.

A private service will be held by the family in Oklahoma at a later date.
