Garland Gable

Reverend Garland Gable, 95, of Conway, Arkansas, passed away September 14, 2021. He was born in Beebe January 14, 1926 to George and Orah (Smith) Gable. He attended Beebe Schools and Central Baptist College, preparing for ministry.

Mr. Gable was Arkansas State Missionary for 27 years, building churches and pastoring several churches as interim pastor.  He was a combat war veteran in World War II, serving in Europe in the 69th Infantry Division, and was the recipient of several medals; the Bronze Star, Marksman Badge with Rifle Bar, WWII Victory Medal and others.

Mr. Gable is survived by his wife of 74 years, Martha Pettigrew Gable; sons Wes and Jeff; grandson Blake; and one sister, Judy Gordan.

Graveside service will be 2:00p.m. Friday, September 17, 2021, at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Please visit www.smithfamilycares.com/westbrook for online guest register.
