Harmon "Buck" Tolley

Harmon “Buck” Tolley, 88, of Brandon, Mississippi, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021. He was born July 18, 1933 in Aplin, Arkansas.  Buck was one of twelve children born to Lee and Sarah “Elsie” Cato Tolley.  He was always there for his parents. As a matter of fact, the only home Buck ever purchased was for his parents. He retired from the Little Rock Parks and Recreation. He was of the Baptist Faith.

Buck was a very gentle and compassionate man. One of the nicest men you could ever meet. His family meant everything to him. He was a dedicated single parent and sacrificed daily for his children.  He was a hard worker and he raised his children to respect and love others. His hobbies included playing pool, fishing and attending car shows. He enjoyed listening to country music and loved to dance. You could find him wheeling and dealing at yard sales, hanging out at the Waffle House or Kirk’s automotive.  He was always visiting with his friends. He loved making people laugh.

Buck accepted Christ at age 18. He loved the Lord and never stopped praying, even when he could no longer kneel beside his bed. He will be greatly missed and forever loved.

Buck is survived by daughter, Charlotte McGinty (Jerry), son, Gerald Lee Tolley, and daughter, Melinda Dennis (Ted), stepson, Darrell Adams and his family; grandchildren, Walter, Michael, Jessica, Sarah, Cherie and Will; several great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Buck was preceded in death by his parents and all eleven of his siblings.

Memorials may be made to the Martindale Cemetery Fund, 40000 Hwy 10, Bigelow, AR  72016.

A visitation will begin at noon, Wednesday, October 13, 2021 followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m., at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be follow at 2:15 p.m. at Martindale Cemetery.
