Ira Murphy

Ira W. Murphy, 90, of North Little Rock passed from this life on July 26, 2021. He was born July 21, 1931, in Levy, Arkansas to the late Arnold and Mollie (Smith) Murphy. Mr. Murphy was a member of Freedom Baptist church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but was happiest spending time with his family, spoiling his wife and grandchildren. In addition to his parents, a daughter, Susan Haynes; and siblings, Earl Murphy, Albert Murphy, Leo Murphy, and Mary Franks preceded him in death.

Left to mourn his passing are his loving and devoted wife of sixty-six and a half years, Crystal (Black) Murphy; son Stan (Becky) Murphy of North Little Rock; grandchildren, Stephanie (Clark) Coleman of Maumelle, Christy (Ronnie) Cooper of Missouri, Stacey (Jonathon) Moore of Sherwood, Kimberly Haynes of Missouri, Sherry (Matt) Jones of Maumelle; and brother, Tommy (RoseMarie) Murphy of Fort Smith. Other survivors include several great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be 10:00am, Thursday, July 29, 2021, at Freedom Baptist Church with Pastor John Vaprezsan officiating. Interment will follow at Arkansas Memorial Gardens cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00pm until 8:00pm, Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street, North Little Rock, Arkansas, 72114, (501) 758-1170.
