Isaac Tillman

Isaac Lee Tillman, aka “Butch” or “Tony”, 79, of Jacksonville passed from this life on October 9, 2021. He was born July 1, 1942, in Pass Christian, Mississippi to the late William Albert and Hattie (Patrick) Tillman.  Chief Warrant Officer 4 Tillman retired after serving twenty-eight years in the United States Army. He served in the Cuban Missile Crisis, Vietnam, and Desert Storm. On December 3, 1965, Isaac was wed to Anita Duncan. Over the next fifty-six years they built a life based on love, mutual respect, and faith in Jesus. After retiring from the armed forces, Mr. Tillman started his second career as a substitute teacher. He loved teaching and coaching youth sports, especially football. His hobbies included fishing and….fishing. He will always be remembered as a loving Husband, Dad, Paw-Paw, and friend to many. His genuine interest and love for those around him, family or otherwise was a quality that is not often found and can never be replaced. In addition to his parents, Isaac was preceded in death by twenty-two brothers and sisters.

Left to mourn his passing are his loving and devoted wife, Anita Tillman; children, Kimberly (James) Edwards of Austin, AR., Timothy (Vanessa) Tillman of Texas, Patrick (Carine) Tillman of Texas, Jaylee, Chloe, and Lyric Tillman all of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Kristi (James Brandon) Forsyth of Tennessee, Tiffany (Colin) Milne of Ward, AR., Tara Tillman of Jacksonville, and Tyler Tillman of Jacksonville. Other survivors include great-grandchildren, Lauren and Hunter Milne, Benjamin and Olivia Nasser, along with a host of extended family and dearly loved friends.

Funeral service will be 11:30am, Monday, October 18, 2021, at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home with Reverend Richard Tyler officiating.  Interment with military honors will follow at 1:00pm at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery with Reverend Cary Rosenbaum officiating. Visitation will be 10:00am to 11:30am immediately preceding the service at the funeral home.
