Jacqueline Redlich

Jacqueline Kay Redlich, 79, left her earthly home in Little Rock and joined her parents, Jack and Karon Simpson in heaven. She loved her family fiercely, and leaves a huge void in their lives and the lives of her many dear friends. Jacque never met a stranger; she always had a kind word of encouragement or a gentle "straightening out" for someone who needed it. She had the longest phone cord ever made in Hope, Arkansas so she could walk around the house and talk as she tended to her family and their loving home.
Her children Lisa and David (Kathleen) could bring home as many friends as they wanted at any time of the day or night. "Miss Jacque" seemed to have an endless supply of "just baked" cookies, snacks and a refrigerator full of sodas. She would stay up with them to watch Saturday Night Live and the latest music videos on MTV - their friends secretly came to hang out with her instead of them because she was the coolest Mom ever.
She and her husband Larry enjoyed 62 years of marriage. They loved each other well and were wonderful examples to their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Some of our best memories are of them dancing at home, practicing their moves before they would go to the Hope Country Club for Saturday night dances and golf tournament celebrations.
Jacque became Jac Jac thanks to her granddaughter Marina, and she answered to that name more proudly than any other. Jac Jac passed on many special traits to Marina, including her love for Diet Coke and BBQ potato chips. She loved watching Marina dance more than anything, and always wore her rhinestone Dance Grandma pin and the newest sparkly dance company tshirt to her recitals and competitions.
Jac Jac adored her granddaughter Jaden, her husband Jessie, and her precious great grandsons Damien and Aden. Even as it became more difficult for her to get around, she never missed their celebrations.
While we are saddened by her death, we rejoice in knowing that she is made whole in heaven with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She is free from the pain of arthritis, and is breathing easy with brand new healthy lungs.
A small celebration of her life (thanks to COVID 19) will be held on Friday, June 19th for her family at St. James United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to the Little Rock Animal Village in honor of cherished pets Cheree, Lacey, Buddy, Sparkles and Boss Hog.
