Jadon Shackelford

With deepest sorrow, we announce that Jadon Shackelford, 21, of Little Rock, our most beloved son, brother, father, family member and friend passed suddenly on Sunday, January 9, 2022.

Those who knew Jadon, even casually, lost a shining light in their lives. As a young child, people gravitated to Jadon’s personality and infectious smile. Jadon loved baseball, video games, working in the yard and SHOES! He even tried his hand at bull riding, but decided it was best to stick to riding horses with his grandpa. Jadon loved to snuggle with his mother, his father was his best friend, and he was protective of his little sister. Jadon will continue to be remembered for that perfect grin, beautiful curly hair, contagious laugh, and the way he cared for others. Jadon was a devoted new father to his 22-month-old son, Malikai Shackelford (Carly McLaughlin). Jadon was a patient, kind, and fun dad.

Jadon will be missed everyday by his parents John & Hailey Shackelford, sister, Britton Shackelford, grandparents, William Shackelford (Maxine) of Little Rock, AR & Dana Shackelford of Braselton, GA, Donnie Johnson of Ash Flat, AR and Lynne Johnson of Little Rock, AR, and great-grandmother, Hildred Johnson of Ash Flat, AR. Jadon was adored by his uncles and aunts, Aaron Johnson, Chaun, Nakia & Nicolette Shackelford along with a host of great uncles, aunts, cousin, extended family, and friends.

We know that Jadon is now with his great- grandparents, Calvin & Mary Frances Shackelford, Judy & Larry Billing, Jake Johnson, and Aldrew & Doris Pace and is loved here on earth as well as in heaven.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family appreciates donations to the memorial fund and trust in Jadon’s name.
