James Mahan

James M. Mahan, 82, of North Little Rock passed away Friday, April 19, 2019. He was born February 19, 1937 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Oscar and Gertrude Mahan. He was retired from the U.S. Army with the 148th Medical Infantry. James was a talented artist, loved to hunt and fish with his sons.

He is survived by his children, James “Eddie” Mahan (Kathy), David Martin Mahan (Laura), Linda Fay Davis (Tim) and Cathy Jean Middleton; six grandchildren, Alicia Kay Prater, James Michael Mahan, Jessica Mahan, Nathan Mahan, Kevan Davis and Haley Middleton; great-grandchildren, Dayna, Kaden, Whitney, Mason, Maddie, Easton, Chloe and Gabrielle; and sisters, Veirlone Beck (Robert) and Martha Mahan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Fay Mahan and his brother, Oscar Mahan.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 29, 2019 at Smith – North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial with military honors will follow at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
