James "Jim" Jackson

James “Jim” Leigh Jackson, age 65, of Roland, Arkansas went home to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, November 24, 2021.

Jim was born April 24, 1956 in Helena, Arkansas to John and Jimmie Jackson. He graduated from Parkview High School and began his 42-year career with UPS shortly after, where he accomplished 37 years of safe driving.

He married his wife Sharon in 1990 and they welcomed their daughter, Erin, in 1994. He is remembered by family and friends as someone who was bold in his faith, had a generous spirit, and loved the outdoors. Jim was saved at Agape Church in Little Rock, where he was attending most recently, in addition to spending time with his Sunday School family at Geyer Springs First Baptist Church. He was generous with his time, talents and finances. When he was not spending time outdoors, he was sharing the Good News with someone or helping those he loved with a task they needed completed.

Jim is survived by his wife, Sharon (Waits) Jackson of Roland; daughter Erin Calhoon (Jacob) of Jonesboro; loving sister Becky Cooper (Carleton) of Little Rock; brother John Jackson (Claudia) of Mountain Home; niece Caroline Crow (Bryan); nephews Nathan Cooper (Jessica), Marc and Matt Jackson.
