Janet Wallis

Janet Wallis, 71, of Sherwood, Arkansas passed away October 18, 2019.  She was born November 5, 1947 to Edgar and Margaret Smith in Clark County, Arkansas.

She loved fishing and camping.   You could find her and N.K. every Saturday hitting the carport sales.  The two were inseparable since the day they met, when she caught him sneaking into the Park Theater.  She was the second mom to all of the kids on Lenox Road.  She had an open door for all of Bryan’s friends, they always knew they’d leave full. Later she continued this tradition by being the best Granny ever to Ian and his friends.  It was easy to tell her family was her world.

Janet is survived by her husband of 55 years and best friend, N.K. Wallis; son, Bryan Wallis (Renee); grandson, Ian Wallis; siblings, Phyllis Wooley (Mike), Dennis Smith, and other extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Ann Hill.

Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.

Visitation will be held 5:00 – 7:00 PM Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street.  Funeral Service will be 10:30 AM, Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at the funeral home.  A private burial will be held in Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
