Jean Miller Eller-Ketchum, 91, of Little Rock went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 7, 2021 at her home. She was born December 13, 1929 in Burleson, Texas to the late Theodore and Ruby Hall Miller. Jean was a former member of First Baptist Church in Kennedale, Texas and occasionally attended Park Hill Baptist Church in North Little Rock. Jean was always a hard working and self-sufficient woman. She continued working well into her 70’s when she learned to edit and publish newsletters using a computer. Using her newly acquired skill, Jean gave of her time and talent to a retirement community, working as reporter, photographer, editor, publisher, printer, and distributor of their monthly newsletter. In her earlier life, Jean worked for the Cleburne Times Review as a rural carrier for ten years and then the Eagle News as a receptionist for another five years. In her spare time Jean always kept busy. She was a lover of animals, especially dogs and cats. She always grew a garden, winning several awards for her three-pound tomatoes. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed playing bingo. In addition to all her work outside of her home, Jean was always a loving mother and friend to her children. Her greatest joy was found in her children, grandchildren, family, friends, and her lover of Jesus Christ. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ketchum was preceded in death by her Husband, Curtis Ketchum; four children, siblings, Jim Miller and Doc Miller, the father of her children, Paul Eller and son-in-law, Bill Beverly Sr.

Survivors include children, Evelyn (Larry) Smith of North Little Rock, Janet Beverly of Justin, Texas, Terry Eller of Little Rock, Connie (Levi) Gardner of North Little Rock, Toby Ketchum of Fort Worth, Texas; grandchildren, Tonya Green of North Little Rock, Bill (Alicia) Beverly Jr. and Russell (Shonda) Beverly both of Justin, Texas, Barbara Montante of Little Rock, Paula (Tyson) Silver of San Diego, California, Phillip Montante of North Little Rock, Adal Gardner, Omar Gardner and Joey Gardner all of North Little Rock and Cody Ketchum of Fort Worth, Texas. Other survivors include great-grandchildren, Christopher Green, Aaron McEwan, Eric Beverly, Ashley Beverly, Jordan Beck, Russ Beck, Rochelle Johnson, Lysa Montante, Vincent Montante, Olivia Montante and Alasdair Silver; siblings, Shorty Miller of Weatherford, Texas, Donald Miller of Lake Worth, Texas, Bonnie Cloud of Grandview, Texas, sister-in-law, Anna Miller of Grandview, Texas; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Rosser Funeral Home in Cleburne, Texas with visitation beginning one-hour prior at 1:00pm. Brother Larry Elsea will officiate the service. Jean will be laid to rest at Rose Hill Cemetery in Cleburne, Texas. In lieu of flowers donations in Jean’s memory may be made to Southern Hearts Rescue for Arkansas or Kuddley Kritters Animal Rescue and Refuge in Venus, Texas.
