Joel Sutton

Joel Sutton, 82 of Hot Springs, AR. went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 surrounded by his family. Joel was born on November 8, 1936 near Bismarck, AR. to the late John C and Nancy (Williams) Sutton. Joel married the love of his life Patsy Marbury  on August 11, 1956 and they would spend the next 63 years building the family they treasured.

Joel was a member of Pleasant Hill Church of Christ in Bismarck. He loved people and would stop and talk to anyone he met. He loved to tell stories and reminisce about his family and interesting events in his life. Much of his conversations and concern was about his family. Joel woke each day and thanked the Lord for the blessings in his life and for his family. He loved gospel music and attending different churches and revivals; and would spend many hours playing games with his family.

Joel is survived by his wife Patsy, sons Gary and Barry, daughter -in-laws Sheree and Vonda, grandchildren; Benjamin, Brandon, Jordan, Chelsea and Tyler, great-grandchildren; Austin, Grace, Caleb, Eden, Judah and Elizabeth, and brother Paul. Joel is preceded in death by his parents and son Terry.

Joel was truly loved by all his family and he will be greatly missed. We all hold onto the fond memories of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 20, 2019 from 12 :00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Church of Christ in Bismarck (2103 Ozark Loop Bismarck, AR).  Service to begin at 1:00 p.m. at the church with interment to follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
