John Tisdale

John Holt Tisdale, 78, died Monday, April 26, at Good Sheppard Rehabilitation after a protracted battle with diabetes and other ailments.  John was a long-time resident of the Little Rock area, living most of his life on Lake Norrell.  John loved the lake life and his neighbors, and was himself much beloved by that community.  He’d recently moved into the senior cottages of OC in Little Rock. John was a true Southern gentleman and never met a stranger.  John was a well respected businessman in the telecommunications business for many years. He loved all animals! The cats, the deer, and even the catfish were all spoiled and always knew where to come eat. John could smoke the best ham and the juiciest BBQ you ever tasted. He was a man of many talents and will be missed by so many people.  John is survived by his son, Phil (Lisa) of Ft. Smith; and daughter, Nan (Todd), in Little Rock. “Pop” John always loved spending time with his grandchildren, Michael, Jenny, Christian, Maegun, and Anna. He’s also survived by his brother, Ted, in Leander, Texas.  No formal funeral service is planned.  A memorial service is planned for a date to be determined.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the humane society.  Arrangements entrusted to Smith-Benton Funeral Home.  www.SmithFamilyCares.com.
