Johnny Hardin

Johnny Ray “Papa” Hardin, 71, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 2, 2021.  He was born April 19, 1950, in Garner, Arkansas to the late Carl and Ella Hale Hardin. He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Bayles Hardin. He is survived by his son Douglas Hardin; daughter and son-in-law Rhonda and Brad Moore; and three granddaughters: Ellie, Charley, and Emily Moore.

Johnny was a kind and loving son, brother, husband, father, and papa.  Perhaps his favorite role was that of papa, and he was known to spoil his granddaughters and his grand fur-babies.  He fought the difficult battle of cancer for three years, enjoying all the time that he could with his loved ones.  But he longed for the day to be with his wife again who rested from her own battle to cancer 18 years ago.  Knowing that they are together again and with the Lord fills the family with peace and comfort.    He will be remembered for his gentle and playful spirit and will be forever in our hearts.

Graveside memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 7, 2021 at Monk Cemetery.  Cremation arrangements by Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home. www.smithfamilycares.com
