Jordan Brookings

Jordan David Brookings, 24, of North Little Rock passed from this life on November 26, 2020. He was born June 4, 1996 in North Little Rock, Arkansas. His parents are Jerry and Shannon Covan and Mark Brookings. Jordan was an amazing young man; the life of the party and he never met a stranger. His infectious smile and sense of humor could light up even the darkest room. He enjoyed being with his friends and family, producing music, playing soccer, water sports, working out and playing with his dog, Waffle. The loss of his genuine, loving, and compassionate spirit will be forever missed by all who were privileged enough to know him. Jordan was a graduate of the University of Arkansas.

Survivors include his parents, Shannon (Jerry) Covan of North Little Rock, Mark Brookings of North Little Rock, siblings, Chelsea Covan of Fayetteville, Chance Covan of Dallas, grandparents, Sandra Cash of North Little Rock, Don Brookings of North Little Rock and David McNair of Bryant, Lynn Scarborough of North Little Rock. Other survivors include aunts and uncles, Suzanne (Shane) Hill of Sherwood, Scott Covan of Pensacola, Amy Scarborough of North Little Rock, Ashley (RL) Jackson of Conway and extended Hoelzeman Family, Marci Brookings of Franklin, Tennessee, Robin (Greg) Stone of Texarkana, Toni (David) Woody of Little Rock, cousins, Kristin Hill, Kayla Hill, Joseph Hill, Sidney Scarborough, Dominique Covan, Harper Miller, Reid Miller, Ford Compton, Spencer Compton, Audrey Woody, Conner Woody, his loyal companion and friend, Waffle and a large host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 5th, 2020 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home with Pastor Jay Sorrows officiating. Interment will follow at Edgewood Memorial Park. Visitation will be Friday, December 4th, 2020 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

The family will be establishing the Jordan Brookings scholarship fund at a later date.
