Joyce Hays

Joyce Elaine Hays age 92, of La Vergne, Tennessee formerly of Clarksville, Arkansas passed away Thursday, March 19, 2020. She was born September 21, 1927 in Schippensburgh, Pennsylvania. Joyce was a retired Registered Nurse RNMSN and a member of Clarksville First Baptist Church. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and taught nursing at the university.

Joyce loved to play the violin, enjoyed walking and traveling. After retirement, she worked with the Clarksville Alternative School.

Survivors are her husband of almost sixty-one years, Vendon Hays; a daughter, Sandy Hays of Falls Church, Virginia; a brother-in-law, James Sparks of Whelen Springs; several nieces and nephews including Shari (Billy) Inscore of La Vergne, Tennessee; and a cousin, Clair Samhammer of California.

Services will be held at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
