Keith Duplissey

Keith Miller Duplissey, 65, of Benton, Arkansas passed away July 9, 2020.  He was born September 28, 1954 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Jerry and Ida (Ray) Duplissey.

Keith was of the Baptist faith.  He was an avid rabbit hunter and raised and bred beagles.  He participated in the rodeo in his younger years in team roping. Keith and his father would haul cattle and take them to sale/auction barns around the state.  Together, they would enjoy dollar hamburgers and drinks.  Keith enjoyed spending time outdoors deer hunting with his son and grandson.  He was a familiar face at his grandchildren’s schools where he volunteered and attended field trips.  Family was special to Keith and they cherished their family vacations to Louisiana.  He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and most affectionately- as their “Old Man.”

Preceding Keith in death are his parents; and son, Jimmy Duplissey.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of thirty-two years, Sylvia Duplissey of Benton, Arkansas; children:  Shawna Rickard and her husband Brent of Paron, Arkansas and J.D. Duplissey of Benton; grandchildren:  Jeremiah Keith Duplissey, Waylon Rickard, and Anna Rickard; uncle, Larry Duplissey and his wife Patsy of Louisiana; all of his precious beagles; and a host of family and friends who love Keith and will miss him always.

Visitation will be held from 4:30-6:30 PM, Monday, July 13, at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market Street, Benton, Arkansas.  Funeral service, officiated by Ricky King, will be held at 4:00 PM, Tuesday, July 14 at the funeral home.  Private burial will be held by family in Louisiana.  State of AR COVID-19 directives will be followed:  Masks are required (not provided) and social distancing will be enforced.
