Lela Cromwell

Lela Cromwell

Our beloved Lela Marie Cromwell has left this world behind for her new home in Paradise!

As our hearts will miss her terribly, we rejoice so much more as we can only imagine what her eyes are beholding!

Lela was born on August 1, 1961 in Mariana, Arkansas.  She passed away on September 4, 2020 at St. Vincent Hospital, Little Rock,  Arkansas.   Her hometown residence has always been Judsonia, AR.

Tiny in statue, Lela was a warrior.  At a very early age she received a kidney transplant by her beloved brother Gearl.  For 39 years this unquestionable gift gave her life.  Her youngest brother, Lyndel Dale, she knew as the doter, always looking over her.  She loved her brothers and knew they loved her unconditionally.  Although she never had her own children, she had nieces and nephews she spoiled rotten.

Lela never questioned her role in life as difficult as it was.  For every receipt of news relating to cancer, she took it in stride and started fighting.  She never showed weakness.   Only determination.  She never questioned or said, “Why Me”.  Instead she would say…God is not finished with me yet.  Her physical and mental strength raised the bar and inspired so many to be better today than yesterday.

She loved Needle Point.  Her passion for this has made some beautiful works of art, left behind for us to treasure. You could always find her in the chair by the window, relaxing doing needle point.

Lela’s Church Family was so important to her.  The committees she took part in were a priority to her.  Early on their mother, Carolyn Price, and she would clean the church before every service.  Not as a job but an act of love and obedience.  She was a loyal employee of J.C. Penney’s in Searcy for some 15 years. Her coworkers and friends she made there were always loved and enjoyed.

Missing her, but cherishing her memory is her brother, Lyndell Dale Price; his wife Donna and children Rachel Davis, Jacob and Savannah Price; her father Leon Price; her sister-in-law, Cheryl Gosha and daughters Amanda and Courtney;  great nieces and nephews:   Serenity, Logan Lukas Koser, Kaylie and Dylan Davis; and additionally blessed with many other family members and friends.

Passing before her are her mother, Carolyn Bailey Price and her brother, Gearl Gosha.
