Linda Pope

Linda Pope, 73, of Benton, Arkansas passed away January 5, 2022.  She was born September 9, 1948 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas to Henry and Inez (Tarlton) Deen.

Linda worked for over twenty-eight years in the bakery at Arkansas Health Center.  She loved the Lord and her family more than anything.  Linda was a great mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend.  Each morning Linda started her day by reading the Bible and listening to gospel music.  She enjoyed being with children, watching birds and travelling.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Pope; parents; sons:  Robert Wayne Pope and Jerry Pope; granddaughter, Megan Pope; brother, Farron Renfro; sisters:  Donna Deen and Brenda Whitmire, step-father, Jack Renfro; and brother-in-law, Dan Whitmire.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Billy Pope; daughter, Teresa Pope Phillips  (Bryan Vick); grandchildren:  Corey Pope (Cody), Christopher Pope, Lydia Pope, Mallerie Pope, Heidi Phillips, Haley Phillips, and Zailen Smith; great-grandchildren:  Gunter, Leslie, Konnor, Avelyn, and Preston Kacenna; brothers:  Jerry Deen (Kathy), Carol Deen (Cindy), Carl Deen (Rita), Oral Renfro, Aaron Renfro, Bo Renfro (Terri), Jeffery Deen (Tina), sister, Rosemary Bell; daughter-in-law, Jill Pope; and a hosts of family members and friends who love Linda and will miss her always.

Funeral service held at 1:00 PM  with visitation following from 2:00-3:00 PM, Friday, January 14, at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market Street, Benton, Arkansas.  Following the service, family will gather at Carl and Rita’s home at 1104 Smithers Drive in Benton, Arkansas.
