Louise Richardson

Anna Louise Pace Richardson was born July 3, 1938 in Marked Tree, Arkansas. She went to be with the Lord on February 28, 2021.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. E. C. and Mamie Pace; husband of 63 years, J Q Richardson; brothers, James J. Pace (infant), and Edward E. Pace; sisters, Loyce Mae Pace (infant) and Lonette Pace (16 months); brother-in-law, Dale Cox.

After graduating from Jacksonville High School, she married J Q Richardson the following week. Louise worked at several jobs including Sears Audit Department, J. C. Penney, and Southwestern Bell Telephone Accounting Department. Then in 1971 she was approached about working in the Church of God State Offices. She took the job and served as State Secretary-Treasurer for 27 years. After retiring from that job, she began to write a newsletter for the Retired Ministers and Widows of Ministers in the state. After a few months she was appointed State SpiritCare Representative for Arkansas and served in this position for 12 years. She loved the Retired Ministers and Widows and enjoyed staying in touch with them. She also compiled and authored a book on the history of the Church of God in Arkansas.

Louise and J Q were very active in their local church and supported the pastor. J Q served as Church Clerk and Treasurer for over 50 years and when he became disabled, Louise took over the job.

In her younger days, Louise enjoyed sewing and making her own clothes. She also loved doing crafts.

Both of her boys, Stuart and Marty, were active junior and high school band members. As band parents, Louise and J Q were involved in working the concession stand at ball games and other fund-raising events. They always enjoyed attending the band concerts.

Louise is survived by two loving sons, Stuart Richardson (Teresa) and Marty Richardson (Cheryl); five grandchildren; Jennifer Dedman (Matt), Michael Richardson (Tiffany), Drew Richardson, Nicole Richardson and Grant Richardson; three great grandchildren, Kai, Zeke, and Ember Richardson; two brothers, David Pace (Carole) and Phillip Pace (Linda), and one sister, Joyce Cox.
