Marilyn Boyle

Marilyn Lee Boyle, 74, of Maumelle, was welcomed into heaven the morning of February 21, 2021. She loved her family so well. She was still so madly in love with Stephen her loving husband, after 53 years of marriage, doting mother to T.J. and Jennifer, loving their spouses like they were her own, and completely adored her grandchildren. Oh, and she took better care of “dad’s” dog, Chance, than most people treat their own children. We are absolutely devastated and heartbroken, but we know that she gained her reward. She is in the presence of our Lord.  She lived her life so selflessly, always caring for others, especially those less fortunate.  She found her life’s calling the past several years serving the homeless at River City Ministries, by doing what she did best…cooking!  She wanted them to have wonderful meals, no different than what she would feed her family. They loved her and she loved them! We have no doubt Marilyn has found the kitchen in heaven and has her apron on continuing a life in service to her King.  No doubt she heard, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”  The family covets your prayers as we know we won’t make it through this without them.  “The Lord is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Psalms 34:18.

She is survived by her husband, Stephen Boyle; daughter, Jennifer Newsom (Marty); son, T.J. Boyle (Cindy); grandchildren, Jackson and Landry Newsom; brother, Tommy Briede; half-sisters, Diane Clark and Dawn Annis; special friend, Courtney Williams; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

The celebration of her life will be held Saturday, Feb. 27 at 10:00 a.m. at Pleasant Valley Church of Christ, 10900 Rodney Parham Road, Little Rock.  RSVP is preferred for the church to prepare for socially distant seating.  The service will also be live-streamed.  Both will be available at www.PVCC.org/Boyle . In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to River City Ministry where she was a volunteer, at rivercityministry.org .

Arrangements by Smith Little Rock Funeral Home, (501)224-2200.  Marilyn’s online guestbook may be signed at www.smithfamilycares.com.
