Marjorie Whitmore

Marjorie F. Corbell Whitmore, of North Little Rock, passed on Tuesday, Febuary 16, 2021 at age 88.  She was born in Nashville, Arkansas to Arthur Box and Mable Corbell.  Marge graduated Nashville High and State Teachers (UCA) in Conway, Arkansas.  She taught school for one year and then spent the rest of her life as a loving wife and a great mother.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 61 years, The Honorable Perry V. Whitmore; her daughter, Jayne Whitmore Fulenwider of Memphis, Tennessee; and both of her sisters, Virginia Tyndall of Jenks, Oklahom and Betty Smith of Nashville, Arkansas.

Marge is survived by her remaining three children, Perry Jr. (Jo) of Little Rock, Bill (Meredith) of North Little Rock and Mark of Little Rock.  She is also survived by her two grandchildren, Allyse of North Little Rock, and Tyler of Dallas, Texas.

She was a member of Park Hill Baptist Church and several local civic and charitable organizations.  The family wishes to extend their appreciation for such caring services by several caregivers and the staff of Sherwood Nursing.

Final arrangements are being handled by Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home.  An interment service will be held in the near future at the Arkansas State Veteran Cemetery.
