Marlen Clark

Marlen Eugene Clark, Sr., 68, of Sherwood, passed away June 28, 2014. His first love was his wife and family, followed by his love for his dogs. Hunting and fishing were his passions, but being in the woods surrounded by the turkeys' calling was his ultimate pastime. While in the Army he served his country proudly. He was a member of the Billy Thompson Hunting Club and lifetime member of the NRA.

Preceded in death by his parents, Harlen and Nellie Mae Clark, sister, Ella Finley and brother, William Clark, he is survived by his loving wife, Frances Clark; son, Harlen Clark Jr.; granddaughter, Hannah Clark; sister, Anna Mae Wells and husband, Billy Rae of Mt. Grove, Missouri; and brother, Jimmy Clark and wife, Shirley of Alexander, Arkansas. Also surviving are two step-daughters, Fran Smith of Sherwood and Cathy McMurl and husband, Mac of Smithville, Oklahoma; two stepsons, Charles Smith of Sparks, Georgia and Wayne Smith and wife, Peggy of North Little Rock; and numerous nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren , great-step-grandchildren and friends. He will be greatly missed by all. We were so blessed that God gave us the time, fun and great memories with him.
