Marley Mencer II

Marley Andrew Mencer II, born on December 8, 1969, went to be with the Lord September 3, 2021. He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Elizabeth Hollier (Barham). Marley is survived by his wife Annette Mencer (Dillard); children Maggie and Andrew; father, Andy Mencer and his wife Jeanie; siblings: Melissa Mencer, Mitchel Mencer and half-sister Allison Mencer; along with many cherished extended family and friends.

Marley was born in Dermott, AR where his love for farming began, helping his immediate and extended family manage farmland. Marley grew up knowing and loving the Lord, putting in hard work, and valuing the land and its creatures. He met the love of his life at the ripe age of 19, and they wed 2 years later in July of 1991. Marley’s strong principles, values, beliefs, and faith carried him well in his work as a farrier, lead driver at Howard Dedicated Operations, cattle farmer and more as he was a true “jack of all trades”. He and Annette welcomed two children, Maggie and Andrew, his pride and joy, in 1998 and 2002. His love for his family was fierce, consistent, and patient. He enjoyed nothing more than traveling with his family, seeing God’s country, and finding a good river to sit on. Marley was incredibly smart, witty, and humorous, he had a unique way of making those around him feel safe and important. His adventurous spirit provided countless loving memories for family and friends. With each life Marley came across, he impacted in a positive way. He never hesitated to help anyone, and he was always only a call away. Marley leaves behind a legacy of honor, honesty, kindness, dedication, strong work-ethic, love, and a Christian spirit. He will forever live on in the lives changed by just knowing him.
