Max Henson

Born April 2, 1929 in Grenada County, MS to the late Everett Arthur and Mary Emily Henson. Raised and attended Jonestown High School. Enlisted in the USMC on 1946 where he served until 1949. After which he moved to Memphis, TN and worked for the Fire Deparment as a maintenance painter.

In 1954 he moved to NLR, AR and established M.W. Henson Line Marking Co. where he later retired from in 1990.

He was a long time member of Levy United Methodist Church in NLR, AR. A proud member of the Sylvan Hills Masonic Lodge #754 as a 32nd degree Master Mason. He was also a Scimitar Shriner’s Clown Unit of Little Rock, AR. In 2003 he was selected as Marine of the Year by Marine Corp. League Lt. Alexander Detachment.

Max is preceded in death by his brother Charles Henson.  He leaves behind his beloved wife Patricia Stroud Henson; brother William E. Henson; sons Michael A. Henson (Mary) and Gary W. Henson (Barbara); Step children Jerry Salyer, Doug Stroud (Germae), Ann (Alan) Germany, Tricia (Michael) Davidson.

13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.
