Michael John Jaczynski

March 2, 1956 – April 5, 2021

Michael was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with his parents, Gerald and Dorine Jaczynski, and his sisters, Ellyn (Harrer) and Carol (Zerzycki).

After graduating from Hamilton High School in 1974, Michael joined the United States Air Force, proudly serving our country from 1975 until 1979. He was stationed at the Moody Air Force Base in Valdosta, Georgia. Michael was able to earn his Bachelor’s degree in Business from Troy State University while active duty in the military.

After his military service, Michael returned to Wisconsin and began a career in the Food Production Industry. He worked for Oscar Mayer, Creative Foods, Tyson and International Trading in Management and Supervisory roles. He was offered a position with the Department of Veterans Affairs where he worked for 13 years.

Michael held many titles in his life such as Son, Brother, Uncle and Friend.  But, the titles he cherished the most were Husband, Dad and Papa. He is Dad to 5 children, Rhiana (Mike), Andrew (Heather), Rachel (Nick), Josh (Lesli), and Ryan (Monica). He is Papa to 10 grandchildren, Xavier (19), Nathan (18), Kayden (13), Bella (11), Bentleigh (9), Ashtyn (8), Scarlett (5), Taytum (3), Blakely (1), and Sadie (3 mo). And he is the loving husband to Peggy Jaczynski.

Michael and Peggy met in 1999 and were married June 1, 2001. Together they lived in Arkansas until moving to Wisconsin in 2004. There, Michael began his career working for Tyson Foods.

In 2018, Michael retired from the Department of Veterans Affairs. He and Peggy then pursued their dream of buying land and building their home in Arkansas. Michael enjoyed clearing the land and exploring with his dogs. They enjoyed working together to create a home they both loved.

Michael loved Classic Rock, Harley Davidson motorcycles, his dogs (Oliver Twist, Babbs and Stormy), gardening, outdoor adventures, and was an avid gun collector. He loved Friday night fish fry’s and a good Bloody Mary with friends.  He never turned down home baked goods. He took everyone at face value and didn’t judge. He was always happy to help and would give you the shirt off of his back. He loved a good story and had a fantastic sense of humor.

Michael went to be with the Lord on the evening of April 5, 2021 at the young age of 65. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, Peggy, his five children, ten grandchildren and many family members and friends who will miss his always.

Preceding Michael in death is his sister, Carol Zerzycki

His service will be at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery (1501 W Maryland, North Little Rock) at 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 15, 2021.
