Milla Munoz

Mrs. Milla Jean Munoz, of Cabot, Arkansas, daughter of Ernest McGinty and Opal Mae Bradford McGinty, was born April 3rd, 1946 in Bethany, Oklahoma.  She passed away January 18, 2021.  In addition to raising her three children, she graduated from Nursing school to become a Registered Nurse, which she continued until her retirement.

Milla Jean devoted her life to her family and her work.  She enjoyed fishing, gardening, shopping at flea markets and most of all, caring for others.  She was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star for many years.  Milla Jean assisted members of her community by cooking and sharing the produce from her gardens.

She was preceded in death by her husband Phillip Russell Munoz, father Ernest McGinty, mother Opal McGinty, brother Daniel McGinty, brother Robert (Bob) McGinty, sister Alma Sue McGinty Black, and brother Rondel McGinty.

She is survived by her sister Betty McGinty Goode Wade, brother Bill E. McGinty, and brother Gerald B. McGinty; three children, Phillip Andrew Munoz and wife Teresa Munoz, Richard Blaine Munoz and wife Shanya Munoz, and Peter Samuel Munoz; grandchildren, Alysse Munoz Brown, Braden Karl Munoz, Alexandria Munoz, Ryan Munoz, Matthew Smith, Jennifer Howard, and Britni Smith; and great-grandchildren Adrienne Brown, Scarlett Howard, Colten Howard, Westen Howard, Aubrie Barnes, and Paxton Barnes.

Drop-by visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, January 23, 2021, at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe; family will be here to receive friends from noon to 2:00 p.m. State of Arkansas COVID-19 directives: Face coverings, social distancing.
