Norma Jeanne Trueblood Campbell, age 82, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2021, in Little Rock, Arkansas, after a long, courageous battle with leukemia.  Norma was born on September 13, 1938 in Hartshorne, Oklahoma, to Louise and George Trueblood, now deceased.   Norma graduated from McAlester High School in 1956 and attended the University of Oklahoma in Norman.

Norma was a child of God who loved life and lived it to the fullest.  She was loved by all, and her family, friends and precious pets were the most important things in her life.

Norma excelled in both her tennis and bridge careers and cherished the friendships of her teammates and partners.  She was a much loved member of the Little Rock Duplicate Bridge Club, the Little Rock Bridge House and had attained the rank of Silver Life Master in the American Contract Bridge League.

Norma was a member of St. James United Methodist Church of Little Rock, AR.

In addition to her parents, Norma was predeceased by a sister, Patricia Jones of Oklahoma City, OK.

Norma is survived by her loving husband, William G. (Bill) Campbell, of the home; sister, Linda McGinnnis (husband, Robert) Tulsa, OK; sons, Sam Richardson IV (wife, Lana) Brownwood TX, William Campbell, Little Rock, AR, Richard Campbell (wife, Sarah) Memphis, TN; grandchildren, Sam Richardson V, Amanda Richardson Ely (husband, Dave), Trey Bearden, Branden Bearden, William Campbell, Elizabeth Campbell, Drew Templeton (wife, Amanda) and Thomas Campbell; four great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Karen Campbell; sister-in-law, Patsy Nelson Campbell Fletcher (Ellis) of Lafayette, LA; beloved nieces and nephews, Tom Jones (husband, David McPherson), Karen Mannix (husband, Michael), Kevin King, Carrie French (husband, Dan), Craig Campbell (wife, Tricia), Kim Biggerstaff (husband, Chris), and Madeline Bentley.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Little Rock Animal Village, c/o Friends of the Animal Village, Inc., 7401 Colonel Glenn Road, #4026, Little Rock, AR 72204.

Visitation and a celebration of Norma’s life will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. on Friday, June 4, at Smith Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Court, Little Rock, AR. Norma’s online guestbook may be signed at www.smithfamilycares.com.
