Otis Dean “O.D.” Burtcher of Benton, Arkansas gained his angel wings with his family by his side after a brave battle with liver cancer. He was born in Russell, Arkansas on November 23, 1942. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Oliver Denton and Lela Mae Burtcher; first wife, Meredith Jean and stepson Bobby McDaniel

He is survived by his wife, Kay; daughter, Cynthia (Monte) Bemis, grandchildren, Caitlyn and Sarah Bemis, Aaron (Raena) McDaniel, Zachary, Matthew and Sara McDaniel; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Madeline and “Smiling” (Johnny Mack) John McDaniel. Other survivors include brother, Paul Burtcher and sister, Sharron Burtcher Coffin.

O.D. was a Vietnam veteran who proudly served in the United States Marine Corps for more than twenty years. He was a member of Pinnacle Assembly of God. He loved to fish, play golf, and play cards with his buddies. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Memorial services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Pinnacle Assembly of God, 7803 N. Gunther, Roland, Arkansas, with Pastors Gary Childers and William Willis officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial may be given to his church, Pinnacle Assembly of God, St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Operation Smile. He loved children and these were his two favorite charities to give to.  He always said the two most precious things you could hear in your life were the words “I love you” and the giggle of a child.
