Patsy Bicknell

Patsy Jane Bicknell stepped into the presence of her Lord on 04/03/2020. Patsy was born in Lafayette, Indiana January 17, 1937. She was the only child of Glenn and Estell Gallahan. She attended both Indiana University and Butler University.
Patsy married James E Bicknell 12/7/1957. They have two children, Susan E and Stuart E Bicknell.
In 1968 the family moved from Indianapolis to Farmers Branch, Texas and then in 1972 they moved to Spring, Texas. While there, Patsy attended Harris County Junior College and earned a degree in nursing as an LVN. She worked for 15 years at Houston Northwest Hospital and later for several years for an orthopedic surgeon.
Patsy was active in ballroom dancing and square dancing. She was an avid tennis player, loved gardening, and her church. She retired in 1996 and in 1998 she and her husband moved to Hot Springs Village, Arkansas where they built their dream home. She continued her church work at Village Bible Church and served as a deaconess for many years. She became very interested in bridge and together with her husband became a life member of the ACBL.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, her daughter Susan of Arlington, Texas and her son, Stuart in Fishers, Indiana along with his wife, Ann Marie and their three children, Drew, Grace and Adeline.
Patsy was a gentle, warm person with a wonderful personality. She was greatly loved by her family and many friends. Unfortunately, Alzheimer's robbed her of many happy years in later life.
A memorial service will be scheduled in the future at Good Sam Chapel, HSV and in place of flowers we ask that donations be made in her name to the Alzheimer Association, Village Bible Church in Hot Springs Village, or to Good Samaritan Society in Hot Springs Village.
Arrangements entrusted to Smith-Benton Funeral Home. Online guestbook: www.SmithFamilyCares.com.
