Ray Hussey, Sr.

Ray Albert Hussey Sr., 80 years old, of Little Rock, Arkansas, died Saturday, October 2, 2021. He was born to the late Mittie Mary Parker and Vaughn Hussey on December 28, 1940. He was preceded in death by two children, Izola Hussey and Thomas Calvin Hussey, two grandchildren, Kelvin L. Ellis and Devon C. Maddox, and his late wife, Pauline Hussey. Ray was the eldest of five children. His siblings include three sisters, Maudine Parker, Johnnie Daniels,  Gloria Parker (John) and one brother, Davie Maddox (Brenda).

Ray worked for a quality steel company and as a roofer until he retired. After retirement, Ray was an avid hunter and fisherman. He leaves to cherish his memory four children, Ray A. Hussey Jr., Detria D. Ellis, Darryl D. Hussey, and Vincent S. Hussey, three step children, Derrick Flowers, David Low, and Regina Wilford, 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter, a host of step grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation will be 5:00 PM  -7:00 PM Friday, October 8, 2021 at Smith-Sherwood Funeral Home (7700 Hwy 107). Graveside service will be at 11:00AM at Elm Lawn Cemetery in Little Rock on Saturday, October 9, 2021.
