Retha I. Howell, 81, of Little Rock passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2019. She was born August 16, 1938 in Dover, Arkansas to Alfred Coffman and Bealie Bowers. She was raised in Russellville by Bealie and Jeff Dunn. She was a Christian who gave her life to Jesus at an early age. She loved to go to the lake, cook, bake, paint, dance, sing, play Words With Friends and board games with her kids & family, but most of all, she loved and lived for kids.

Retha is survived by her children, Terry Allison, “Buddy” Loyd Wayne Pearson, Jr., Kelley Weaver and Richard Rummel. She was known as “Gran” by grandsons, Marty Allison and wife Candice, Matthew Pearson, and Billy Weaver; by her granddaughters, Felicity Johnson, Allison Blankenship, and Erica Rummel; great-grandchildren, Cassidy Allison, Blake Allison, and Preston Weaver; her ex-husband, Loyd W. Pearson, Sr. ; her lifelong friends, Carolyn Smith, Marie Dunlap, and Martha Walls; her extended family, Colorado Page, Lisa Shaw and Chuck Payne; her fur babies, Eliana and Athena; and her angel in disguise, Meighan Bonner, R.N., her home health care nurse.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her six siblings- four sisters, Nell, Louise, Leona, and Billie; and her two brothers, Leo and Oscar.

She will always be our ladybug.

Funeral services provided by Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home. A viewing starts Monday, December 2, 2019, at 10 a.m. Funeral service starts at 11:00 a.m. Location-Smith – North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72114. Final Resting Place- Danville Cemetery, 510 Church Ave., Danville, Arkansas.

Brother Dudley will be officiating. Pallbearers are James Pearson, Guy Corbin, Jonathon Nutt, Josh Chaney, Frankie Chaney, and Rick Coffman. Honorary Pallbearer is Linnus Madden.
