Robert “Rocky” Carpenter, 55, of Jacksonville passed away Monday, August 3, 2020. He was born October 12, 1964 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Robert Carpenter and the late Sheri Pratt Carpenter Estes. He attended Sylvan Hills High School (class of 1983) worked for Arkansas Packaging Company and Remington Arms.  Rocky was a “people person” who enjoyed music and was a classically trained musician. He was always building things and working with his hands.  He will be remembered as a hard worker.


Rocky is survived by two sons, Christian Carpenter and Malcolm Carpenter (Rachel); grandson, Malcolm Robert “Mr.” Carpenter; brother, Brent Carpenter (Elizabeth); nephew, David Carpenter (Kari); great-nieces: Hailey and Amelia; and an uncle, Bruce Pratt (Marie).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.

A visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 10, 2020, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m., at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home. The memorial service will be livestreamed on the funeral home Facebook page when service begins.

State of AR COVID-19 directives: Face coverings required.  Maintain social distancing.
