Robert Michael “Mickey” Kelley was born June 21, 1947 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Frances Turner and John Oliver Kelley. Mickey was also preceded in death by his step-mother, Elnora “Babe” Kelley; his sister, Beverly Dennis and her husband, Bill Dennis; his sister, Benita Martin; as well as his niece, Teri Lynn Allen; great-nephew, Paxton Allen; and great-niece, Brinley Martin.
He is survived by his sister, Debbie Neumann (Chris); his nieces and nephews: Cindy Weatherford, Tammy Dixon, Waymon “Kip” Hankins (Angie), Renee Martin, Mike Allen (Kristin), Melissa Bruce, Brittany Smith (Dylan), and Kelley Hasler. Mickey was also survived by fifteen great-nieces, and five great-nephews: Kama Hulme (Jake), Latia Fear (Bradley), Taylor Elrod (Courtney), Chandler Martin, Aubree Allen-Cooper, Mikayla Martin, Logan Allen, McKenzie Ragsdale, Gracy Martin, Blaise Martin, John Thomas Allen, Andrea Cullum, Katie Raymond, Jessica Hankins, Rhonda Bolin, Sallie Wrigley, Zachary Dixon, Wynne Hasler, Tori Smith and Emmett Brettell. Also surviving are a host of great-great nieces and nephews.
Mickey was a 1965 graduate of Central High School. He had many lifelong friends which is a testament to his ability to get along with everyone. He lived large and left joy and happiness wherever he went. He was kind, loving, giving, and well suited for his life in sales. He was retired from Cooper Surgical. He was genuine in his love for family and friends and always quick to help. He loved the race track and the casinos. We will miss his laughter and his beautiful smile. If you knew Mickey, you loved him.
Visitation will be 12:00 PM, Friday, April 9, 2021 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow at 2:00 PM at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
