Ronnie Carlisle

On Sunday, January 10, 2021, Ronnie E Carlisle passed away into the loving arms of Jesus.  Ronnie was born December 7, 1948 in Bastrop, LA to Joe and Bernice (Durham) Carlisle.  He spent his childhood years in Urania, LA with his brothers Joe and Terry before their family moved to Pine Bluff, AR.  Ronnie was blessed to raise four sons in Pine Bluff before moving to Springdale, AR after his boys were grown. Throughout his life, Ronnie had the opportunity to work and travel with some of his dearest friends who were such a blessing to him.

Ronnie was passionate about spreading the love of Christ to anyone that he could.  His faith was a defining part of who he was.  In addition to sharing his faith, his greatest joys were his children and grandchildren.  He loved nothing more than a meal with his family or his friends and fellowshipping with those he held most dear.  He was blessed to work with multiple ministries where he deepened his friendships with many of his brothers in Christ. Ronnie will always be remembered for the way he treated those around him, his kindness and compassion towards others, and the example he was of living his life for Jesus.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his father, Joe, his mother, Bernice, and his brother, Terry.  He is survived by his four sons, Gabriel (Sara), Joshua (Beth), Israel (Bethany), and Daniel (Shria), and his four grandchildren who were the light of his life- Levi, Samuel, Cora, and Jakob. He is also survived by his brother Joe and his closest brothers in Christ, Brian (Deb) Smith and Jerry (Kris) Durham as well as his extended family and friends.

A private funeral service will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021 at Arkansas Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Washington County Law Enforcement and Jail Chaplaincy in memory of Ronnie Carlisle. Please mail any donations to P.O. Box 464 Fayetteville, Ar 72702 For his family, there is no greater gift than to be able to support the ministry that God impressed on his heart in his memory.

“For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.  But if I am to live on in the flesh, this will mean fruitful labor for me; and I do not know which to choose.  But I am hard pressed from both directions, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, for that is very much better.” Philippians 1: 21-23
