Roy Browning, Jr.

Roy Earl Browning Jr. of East End passed away Saturday, November 7, 2020 at the age of 76 after a brief battle with Parkinson’s. He was born July 20, 1944 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Roy Earl Sr. and Myrtle Browning. He was a longtime member of East Union Missionary Baptist Church.

Roy loved cars. He dedicated his life to selling Ford vehicles. He started in 1971 with Moore Ford and worked at various dealerships until his retirement from Grant County Ford in 2009. He enjoyed gardening and working on old tractors. He served his church in different capacities from security, budget and finance, transportation and the food pantry.

Roy is preceded in death by his parents and sister Pat Hunnicutt. He is survived by his wife Dot Browning of East End; son Paul (Cathy) Browning of Sherwood; daughter Kelly (Wayne) Bonner of East End; grandchildren Mattie and Harrison Browning of Sherwood; Sydney and Landon Bonner of East End; brother James Browning of Yuma Arizona; brother-in-law Grady Hunnicutt of Russellville; Uncle J.G. and Aunt Francis Browning of Benton; nephews Roy Browning of Yuma, Arizona; Craig and Brian Hunnicutt of Russellville; and a niece Kris Hunnicutt of Russellville.

East Union Missionary Baptist Church will host a visitation on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 10:00 a.m.
