Roy Hill, SR

Roy W. Hill Sr. 75, of Okolona passed away June10, 2019 at his home with family by his side. Roy was the only child of the late Roy Cecil and Cora Evelyn (Buck) Hill on June 11, 1943 in Alpine, Arkansas. Roy was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He worked for the Corp of Engineers as a contractor, an auto body repairman for Gildner Ford for many years, as well as the owner and operator of S & H Body Shop; there wasn’t a motor around he couldn’t get to run or an auto blemish he couldn’t fix good as new. Roy was a member of the Mt. Zion Methodist Church; he loved to hunt, fish and spend time with his family.

Left to remember him will be the love of his life Donna S. Hill; three children Roy Jr. (Tonya) of Arkadelphia, Tammy McMichael of Gurdon and Kathy (Ron) Teague of Malvern; four step- children Jason (Kathy) Shettles of Vicksburg MS., Dewayne (Stephanie) Roach of Vicksburg MS., Ashley Barton of Arkadelphia, and Dana Smith of Hot Springs; 22 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Memorial will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Ruggles Wilcox Funeral Home. Interment will be at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens V.A. Section. Memorials can be made to CARTI, 8901 Carti Way Little Rock, AR. 72205 or MT. Zion Methodist Church Arkadelphia AR.
