Russell Ernest Swift, Jr. of Little Rock, Arkansas went to meet his Lord on July 11, 2021, at the age of 92. Born May 2, 1929, in Evansville, Indiana; he was preceded in death by his parents, Russell E. Swift Sr. and Lorraine Parrish Swift, a brother, Jerry Swift, all of Evansville, Indiana; and his wife of 49 years Barbara Hogan Swift. He is survived by his children: Leslie Evans, Tom Swift (Lisa), and Renee Harrison (Butch), grandson’s: Thomas R. Swift (Mitzi), Thomas Keith James (Roxanne), Rusty Swift (Lindsay), Justin Swift and Jeremy Hunsaker (Bethany) and granddaughters: Kimberly Daniels (John) and  Shawna Brock (Roger), and eleven great-grandchildren. Russell worked most of his life in the forklift business beginning at Black Equipment in Evansville, Indiana; then at Clark Lift of Arkansas, and in later years owning and operating his own business, Russell Swift Forklifts.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to HSPC-Humane Society of Pulaski County, 501-227-6166, mailing address:14600 Colonel Glenn Road, Little Rock, AR. 72210. Please include a note with the honoree’s name (Russell Swift) and address (7102 Briarwood Dr. Little Rock AR.) for acknowledgement.

A visitation will be held 5:00 - 7:00 pm Friday, July 16, 2021 at Smith Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Court, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205.  Committal Service with military honors will be 1:00 pm Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 1501 W Maryland Ave, North Little Rock, AR 72120.
