Sheila Swaim

Sheila Annette Swaim (Mitchell) passed away March 1, 2021 on her 60th birthday.  She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas. She worked for the Pediatric Clinic for 19 years until she could no longer work. Sheila was a member of the First Pentecostal Church of North Little Rock. She loved to witness to others. She was proud she came back to God. Her number one goal was to make it to Heaven.

Sheila leaves behind a very dysfunctional family whom she was proud of. She was world renowned for her lack of patience, constant nagging, OCD habits, and not allowing her kids to sleep in their beds so, the floor it was. Because she wanted everything perfect. Don’t forget those rug fringes to comb out every day. And of course, everyone knew, don’t lean or lay, always sit up straight and definitely no feet on the couch.

Regardless of her crazy habits, she was kind, loyal, giving and her laughter was contagious. She loved PEOPLE. She was loved by many. Sheila was a strong woman, a fighter, ever through the obstacles she had faced and all of the sickness she had endured.

She is preceded in death by her wonderful husband, Robert Swaim, Jr.; grandparents, Ray and Belah Brink; and grandparents, Hubert and Nora Mitchell.

She is survived by her parents, Jake and Janis Mitchell of Jacksonville, Arkansas; in-laws, Robert and Mary Swaim of Lonoke; daughter, Tarrah (Larry) Blue; son, Joshua (Hali) Bradshaw; sister, Vicki (Mark) Ray; seven grandchildren, Braedan, Chloe, Chandler, Jessleigh, Creed and Titan (aka Mitch); and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

She also leaves behind some of the best friends she could have ever asked for: Andrea Cypert, Cynthia Kordsmeier, all of the Smith girls, Faith Looper, and longtime childhood best friend, Judy Taylor.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at First Pentecostal Church. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, March, 4, 2021 at the church with burial to follow at Harmony Cemetery (Hwy 89).

We want to say thank you to all of the nurses and staff at Baptist Health- Little Rock.

To all of the doctors, nurses and staff at the Pediatric Clinic, Sheila loved you and considered you as part of her family, not just someone she worked with. Her family wishes to thank you for being there for her during all of her sickness as well as checking on her daughter, Tarrah Blue.
