Shirley Cates

Shirley Darlene Cates, 70, of Beebe, Arkansas went to be with the Lord Saturday, January 4, 2020.  She was born December 11, 1949 in Little Rock to James and Jessie Tygart.  She retired from Campbells Soup and Timex.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Edwin Cates of Beebe; son Eddie Cates of Beebe; daughter Laurie Ann Daniels of Fayetteville; sister Carolyn Langley of Cabot; brothers Sherman Tygart of Cabot, James Tygart of Fayetteville, Archie Tygart of Ward, Bobby Tygart of Muncie, Indiana, and Roy Tygart of Muncie, Indiana; five grandsons and nine great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Timmy Cates and five brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. followed by memorial service at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 11, 2020, at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe, with burial in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.  Arrangements by Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home.  www.smithfamilycares.com
