Shirley Culbertson

Shirley Faye Culbertson, 84, finally gained her coveted angel wings in the early morning hours of Thursday, July 15th, 2021. She is survived by five children: Rosella (Ron) Posgai, Billie Norman Culbertson, Jackie (Mike) Deuerling, James Bryson Culbertson, and Jody (George) Wirges, and was preceded in death by one child, Timothy Paul Culbertson. The legacy Shirley leaves behind is nothing short of awe invoking as her 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 1 great- great-grandson, who is only a few weeks old, join together to marvel in the beautiful family she created.

As the family gathers in grief they are filled with fond memories of annual Christmas celebrations held at Shirley’s house in Scott, AR; presents piled so high the perfectly decorated tree couldn’t be seen and warm laughter erupting from every chattering corner. It is in these moments Shirley’s truest self could be found: a loving and relentless mother who never stopped fighting for her children, a doting grandmother who could not have held more pride for her ever growing family, and a loyal friend who always invited those in need of love in. May her memory continue to be a blessing as her life certainly was.

Visitation will be held 6-8:00 pm Monday, July 19, 2021 at Smith Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Court.  Funeral service will be at 10:00 am Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Smith Little Rock Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Redfield Cemetery.
