Terry Tew

Terry Gail Tew, 70, of North Little Rock entered eternal life on Tuesday, April 6, 2021. She was born March 30, 1951 in Little Rock. Her spirit is carried on by her six children, 18 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, two surviving brothers, niece and nephew and an extended family of relations and friends. She retired from St. Vincent’s Infirmary after serving 35 years in their Neurology department. Terry was very family oriented and enjoyed spending time with her family and was always up for an adventure. She attended church at Morgan Full Gospel, GAP Ministries, and most recently at Graves Memorial Baptist Church.

She is proceeded in death by her husband: Johnny, parents: Bill and Louise Bland; brothers, Randy, Tracy and Tony Bland. She is survived by her two daughters and grandchildren whose photo she was always willing to share with anyone: Kelli Lowrey (children: Bailey (fiancé Conner), Corey (wife Brooke, child Fletcher)) Tammy Dillon (husband Steve; children: Austyn (wife Whitney; children: Adalyn and Hayes), Taylor (fiancé Matt), Matthew (wife Baylie), and Sarah Grace); niece Lindsay (husband Matt; children: Vance, Willa, Cedar, Abe); nephew Heath, two brothers Gary and Dean Bland.

As fate would have it, she went on a blind date set up by her friend and a year later in 1988 she married the love of her life, the late Johnny Tew Sr and gained a feisty mother-in-law: Alpha Caudle known to all as Granny Moe and a whole slew of children and grandchildren who she quickly took in and loved as her own: Jamie Burns (husband Jason; child Jordan (fiancé Jason, children: Jayce, Rayla)), Lisa Brinkley (husband Doug, children: Joshua (wife Shannon, child Maddox), Jennifer (husband James, children: Breydin, Zola), Jessica (husband Clay, child Karter), Jonni Alice (child Oliver), Michelle), Brenda McClain (husband Cecil, children: D.J. (wife Olivia, children: Annistyn, Abel, Arbor, August), Abby (husband Cameron, children: Leyland, Lincoln, Layson), Troy), Johnny Tew Jr (children: Samara (husband Alan), Georgenevieve (husband Jared).

Visitation is 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, April 9, 2021 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home.  Funeral is 2:00 PM Saturday, April 10, 2021 at the funeral home with burial in Mayflower Cemetery. The family will be receiving guests at the home of Kelli Lowrey, 3301 Ridge Rd., North Little Rock, AR 72116 immediately following the burial.
