Therman Talbert, Sr.

Therman Thomas Talbert, Sr. left this world and all those who loved him on February 17, 2021 at Indian Rock Village in Fairfield Bay, Arkansas.  He was born on August 15, 1929 in Carthage, Arkansas to Word Kelly Talbert and Mary Jane (Orr) Talbert.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cora Reid Talbert; his daughter, Carolyn Ann Talbert; a sister, Ione Talbert; brothers:  Herman Kelly Talbert and Charles Edward Talbert; and son-in-law, Allen Dale Eakin.

He leaves behind his remaining three children:  Etta Talbert Eakin, Gina Talbert Holliday (Keith); Tommy Talbert (Marianne); eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.  The grandchildren had the pleasure to have Caryl Landreth as their grandmother for many years.  He has one remaining sister, Rita Jane Johnson (James).

Alzheimer’s is a thief that nobody wants to experience; and yet, we do.  Therman lived the life he chose and enjoyed telling stories and jokes.  He could be quite the entertainer.  Cora and Therman started their marriage at Sixth and Izard Church of Christ in Little Rock, Arkansas.  Therman worked for Arkansas Cement corporation and retired from there after many years of traveling as a District Sales Manager.
